In the year 1974 first true GUT theroy was proposed by sheldon glashow and howard georgie based on simple lie group. the idea of unified gauge interactions were pioneered by abdus salam and jogesh pati.The 2 models proposed by four of them were :
a) GEORGI-GLASHOW MODEL- SU(5)
b) PATI-SALAM MODEL - SU(4) X SU(2) X SU(2)
