"Teacher" in Quotes

Definitions

“A Teacher is the image of Brahma” -- Manu

“The teacher is a Brahma, the creator, he is God Vishnu, he is God Maheshwar.  He is entire universe, salutations to him.”  -- Indian Prayer

“The true teacher is he who can immediately come down to the level of the student, transfer his soul to the student’s soul and see through and understand through his mind.  Such a teacher can really teach and none else” -- Swami Vivekanand

“The teacher’s place in society is of vital importance.  He acts as the pivot for the transmission of intellectual traditions and technical skills from generation to generation and helps to keep the lamp of civilization burning” -- Dr. S. Radhakrishnan

“A teacher can never truly teach unless he is still learning himself.  A lamp can never light another lamp unless it continues to burn its own flame.  The teacher who has come to the end of his subject, who has no living trafic with his knowledge, but merely repeats his lessons to his students can only load their minds.  He can not quicken them” -- Tagore

“Every teacher and educationist of experience knows that even the best curriculum and the most perfect syllabus remains dead unless quickened in to life by the right method of teaching and the right kind of teachers.” -- Secondary Education Commission

“The Teacher is the real maker of history.” -- H.G. Wells

“The teacher is the maker of man.” -- Sir John Adams

THE STRING THEORY

INTRODUCTION String theory is a developing theory in particle physics which attempts to reconcile quantum mechanics and general relativity . String Theory , sometimes called the Theory of Everything, is thought by some to be the unifying field theory Einstein sought before his death. String theory is the first mathematically sound theory that reconciles the world of the infinitesimally small, with the world we know at large. It unites Einstein’s Theory of Relativity with quantum physics and offers a potential explanation for the Big Bang. What's string theory? String theory posits that the electrons and quarks within an atom are not 0-dimensional objects, but rather 1-dimensional oscillating lines ("strings"), possessing only the dimension of length, but not height or width. The theory poses that these strings can vibrate, thus giving the observed particles their flavor , charge , mass and spin. History of String Theory Gabriele Veneziano, a research fello...

BIG BANG

Big Bang Theory - The Premise The Big Bang theory is an effort to explain what happened at the very beginning of our universe. Discoveries in astronomy and physics have shown beyond a reasonable doubt that our universe did in fact have a beginning. Prior to that moment there was nothing; during and after that moment there was something: our universe. The big bang theory is an effort to explain what happened during and after that moment. According to the standard theory, our universe sprang into existence as "singularity" around 13.7 billion years ago. What is a "singularity" and where does it come from? Well, to be honest, we don't know for sure. Singularities are zones which defy our current understanding of physics. They are thought to exist at the core of "black holes." Black holes are areas of intense gravitational pressure. The pressure is thought to be so intense that finite matter is actually squished into infinite density (a m...

The Amazing Big Bang Theory

The Amazing Big Bang Theory We all are familiar of the term the universe and the Milky Way galaxy but there was a time billions of years ago when none of these existed. We can’t even imagine it right? Well this is true and our universe, the galaxies all began with a bang, a big bang. Scientists believe that the universe began with a bang about 15 millions of years ago. At the very beginning, the universe was just a minute hot ball, many times smaller than an atom. Inside this ball was everything to needed to make the universe. In the 1930s an American astronomer Edwin P Hubble discovered that light from all distant galaxies is coming from a receding source. This is the only possible explanation of the light spectrum is shifted towards the red end. The real fact is due to Doppler's effect .in 1948 George Gamow a Russian-born-American physicist in a theory concerned with the origin of the light elements, interpreted the Doppler effect as demonstrating the that the ...
